New Flight Routes Revolutionize Iringa’s Transportation Landscape
Precision Air has officially launched commercial flights to Iringa, significantly enhancing regional transportation connectivity and economic opportunities. The inaugural flight touched down at Nduli Airport on March 3rd, 2025, marking a pivotal moment for the region’s air travel infrastructure.
The strategic route expansion aims to address increasing travel demands from businesspeople, tourists, and local residents. Promotional fares starting at 99,000 Tanzanian Shillings from Iringa to Dar es Salaam via Dodoma provide affordable travel options for various stakeholders.
Transport authorities view this development as a critical step in expanding national air connectivity. The Deputy Minister for Transport has encouraged continued private sector investment in aviation infrastructure, emphasizing the importance of expanding air transport services nationwide.
Iringa’s Regional Commissioner praised the new flight routes, highlighting potential economic benefits including increased tourism, improved cargo transportation, and enhanced regional accessibility. Local tourism and business sectors anticipate significant growth opportunities from improved air connectivity.
The airline’s expansion coincides with the near-completion of Nduli Airport renovations, a 68 billion Shilling project that has reached 95% completion. Major commercial operations are scheduled to commence on February 22nd, 2025, promising enhanced airport facilities and increased passenger capacity.
This strategic development represents a transformative moment for Iringa, promising more reliable, efficient, and affordable air travel while integrating the region more comprehensively into Tanzania’s national transportation network.
