ADC Vows to Combat Corruption and Recover Stolen Public Funds
In a bold campaign promise, the Alliance for Democratic Change (ADC) has committed to holding accountable those responsible for massive financial misappropriation if elected to govern.
During a door-to-door campaign in Mwanza Region’s Ilemela District, party leadership emphasized corruption as the critical challenge undermining national development. The party highlighted that approximately 30 trillion Tanzanian shillings have been lost through misuse and wastage according to government audit reports since 2021.
“We will end systematic theft and redirect government funds to critical public services like free medical care,” the party’s leadership declared. The campaign pledged to take immediate legal action against individuals implicated in corruption, promising to:
– Arrest and prosecute those responsible for financial misconduct
– Recover stolen funds, including assets transferred internationally
– Implement comprehensive infrastructure improvements
– Resolve long-standing local disputes
The campaign also addressed specific local challenges, including water infrastructure shortages in Ilemela, committing to build permanent storage and distribution systems across district wards.
Residents expressed appreciation for the direct engagement, noting the door-to-door approach provides meaningful access to candidate platforms and policy discussions.
The ADC’s anti-corruption stance represents a strong electoral message, positioning accountability and transparent governance as key priorities for potential national leadership.
