Tanzania Police Refutes Allegations of Hidden Motives in Ongoing Investigation
Tanzania’s Police Force has firmly rejected concerns raised by former Ambassador Humphrey Polepole regarding the recent criminal investigation summons, emphasizing the transparency of the investigative process.
In a decisive statement, Police Spokesperson addressed the allegations, challenging the suggestion of any hidden agenda behind the official summons. “Does it make sense for an institution with genuine intentions to make a public announcement?” the spokesperson stated, highlighting the openness of their communication.
Polepole, a former parliamentarian and ambassador to Cuba, had previously welcomed the investigation into his online allegations while simultaneously expressing reservations about potential ulterior motives. He argued that in an increasingly digital era, information could be accessed electronically.
