President Samia Suluhu Hassan Announces Major Cabinet Reshuffle
Dar es Salaam – President Samia Suluhu Hassan has unveiled her new Cabinet, dropping seven ministers from her previous government in a significant reshuffle.
The ministers who have been relieved of their duties include former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy, Dr Doto Biteko; Hussein Bashe who served as Minister of Agriculture; Innocent Bashungwa from Home Affairs; Jenista Mhagama who headed the Health ministry; Dr Seleman Jafo from Industries and Trade; Dr Pindi Chana who served in Natural Resources and Tourism; and Dr Damas Ndumbaro from the Constitution and Legal Affairs ministry.
Despite losing their ministerial positions, all seven officials will retain their parliamentary seats in the National Assembly.
The Cabinet reshuffle represents one of the most significant changes in President Samia’s administration, signaling a strategic shift to introduce new leadership while maintaining experienced lawmakers in parliamentary roles.
