Tanzanian Police Launch Investigation into Alleged Disappearance of Former Diplomat
Dar es Salaam – Tanzanian law enforcement authorities are currently investigating claims surrounding the potential abduction of Humphrey Polepole, a former ambassador to Cuba, amid unresolved legal summons.
The Police Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) confirms that Polepole was officially served a legal notice to appear for questioning regarding social media allegations, but has not yet complied with the official request.
In an official statement, police representatives emphasized that Polepole was legally required to report for questioning and provide explanations about statements he previously made online. “Humphrey Polepole was served with a legal notice under the country’s laws to report to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, but to date he has not complied,” the statement disclosed.
