President Samia Suluhu Hassan Promises Complete Water Solutions for Kondoa District
In a powerful campaign pledge, President Samia Suluhu Hassan has committed to resolving water scarcity in Kondoa within the next five years, marking a significant development strategy for the region.
During her recent campaign rally in Dodoma Region, President Hassan emphasized her administration’s remarkable progress in expanding clean water access. She confidently stated, “Our focus in the next five years is clear—water shortage here will end completely.”
The transformative impact is already evident. Just four years ago, Kondoa District had only two boreholes. Now, the region boasts 154 water sources, dramatically increasing clean water access from a mere 0.2 percent to an impressive 89 percent.
Beyond water infrastructure, President Hassan outlined a comprehensive development plan for Kondoa. Her proposed initiatives include:
– Construction of four additional health centres
– Development of five new dispensaries
– Improvement of rural road networks
– Introduction of large-scale farming and irrigation schemes
– Establishment of designated investment zones
– Construction of a modern central market
The campaign emphasizes continuous development and community empowerment, with local leaders urging residents to actively participate in the electoral process.
This strategic vision represents a comprehensive approach to addressing critical infrastructure and economic challenges in the region, positioning Kondoa for significant socio-economic transformation.
