Vertex International Securities Launches Groundbreaking Investment Funds to Revolutionize Tanzanian Capital Markets
Vertex International Securities Ltd is set to transform Tanzania’s investment landscape by introducing two innovative financial products aimed at providing investors with unprecedented market access and diversification opportunities.
The company is targeting to raise 10 billion Tanzanian shillings through two strategic investment vehicles: the Vertex International Securities Exchange Traded Fund (VIS-ETF) and the Vertex Bond Fund.
The Vertex Bond Fund, structured as a Collective Investment Scheme, will focus on fixed-income securities including deposits, treasury bills, and bonds. The fund aims to mobilize 5 billion shillings by issuing 50 million units at 100 shillings each, with a minimum purchase of five units to ensure broad market participation.
The VIS-ETF represents a milestone as Tanzania’s first exchange-traded fund listed on the local stock exchange. This innovative fund will comprise a diversified portfolio of high-performing stocks from leading Tanzanian companies, offering investors a comprehensive market exposure strategy.
Key features of the VIS-ETF include:
– Reduced brokerage commissions
– Broad market coverage
– Risk diversification across multiple assets
– Transparent and efficient trading mechanism
– Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions
The fund will provide investors an opportunity to gain exposure to multiple high-performing securities simultaneously, eliminating the need to invest in individual stocks. Investors can trade VIS-ETF shares directly on the exchange, similar to traditional equity trading.
By prioritizing transparency, market efficiency, and accessibility, these new investment products are poised to democratize investment opportunities for both retail and institutional investors in Tanzania’s growing financial ecosystem.
