Presidential candidate Luhaga Mpina and Zanzibar presidential candidate Othman Masoud are positioning themselves as transformative leaders committed to addressing critical national challenges.
The electoral campaign, officially running from August 28 to October 28, 2025, will focus on key national issues, including constitutional reform and resolving long-standing Union challenges. Mpina emphasized the party’s commitment to bringing fresh, energetic leadership to Tanzania’s political landscape.
“We are prepared to campaign vigorously across every region, village, and constituency,” Mpina declared. “Our mission is clear: to bring meaningful change and address the systemic challenges facing our nation.”
Othman Masoud highlighted his deep understanding of Zanzibar’s challenges, positioning himself as a candidate with grassroots experience and a genuine commitment to serving the people. He promised comprehensive representation for both Pemba and Unguja residents.
The party’s strategy involves a comprehensive approach to challenging the current political establishment, with Mpina boldly stating their intention to “remove CCM from power without mercy” and ensure fair electoral processes.
Running mate Fatma Abdulhabib Ferej further reinforced the team’s credibility, calling on Zanzibaris to support their vision of transformative governance and representation.
As the campaign progresses, ACT Wazalendo aims to galvanize support by presenting a clear alternative to the current political framework, promising a future of accountability, transparency, and responsive leadership.
