ACT-Wazalendo Presidential Candidate Luhaga Mpina Promises Transformative Change for Tanzania
In a dynamic rally held in Michenzani, Unguja, ACT-Wazalendo’s presidential candidate Luhaga Mpina declared his commitment to revolutionizing Tanzania’s economic landscape and delivering tangible benefits to ordinary citizens.
Mpina, a recent defector from the ruling party, emphasized his dedication to national development, pledging to unblock stalled projects and ensure economic gains reach all Tanzanians. “We are not entering this race for titles, but to solve the pressing challenges facing our nation,” he told enthusiastic supporters.
Alongside Zanzibar’s presidential hopeful Othman Masoud, Mpina positioned the upcoming October 29, 2025 election as a critical moment for national transformation. Othman echoed this sentiment, stating the election represents an opportunity to “restore the dignity and rights” of Zanzibaris.
The party’s leadership exudes confidence, with Mpina securing an overwhelming 92.3% of party votes during the nomination process. His running mate, Fatma Abdulhabib Ferej, described 2025 as “a year of change” and praised Mpina as “the voice of the voiceless.”
The rally demonstrated significant public support, with party leaders interpreting the massive turnout as a clear indication of growing momentum and potential electoral success. Mpina promises a leadership focused on transparency, economic development, and addressing long-standing national challenges.
